My kids love the Stampede
This morning our young preschooler had the pleasure of witnessing the Stampede Parade with his grandparents.
The image of my son powered by syrup-covered waffles and juice at 6:30 in the morning on public transit sends shivers down my spine (shudder). My hat's off (this is stampede after all...) to both Grandma and Grandpa.
He had a great time.
This was hammered home to me at about 10:00 this morning in the middle of a impromptu brainstorming meeting:
<phone rings>
Me: Excuse me for a sec...
<answer phone>
Preschooler: DAD!!!!! WE'RE AT THE PARADE!!!!! IT'S FUUUUUNNNNN!!!
Me (shouting to be heard above the street noise): THAT'S GREAT.
Preschooler: BYE!!!!
<dial-tone>
Me: Um...bye.
<hang up phone>
Me: Right, so where were we?
The entire conversation lasted about 6.5 seconds.
Stampede is a hoot.
